There is a cure, at least on type 1, just go vegan, every symptom will dissappear, and you’ll even loose weight.
For Type 2 I must agree, you may just better your health, but you wont be aible to quit insulin totally.

…. As such Type 2 diabetes is not only preventable but can be treated with DIET AND EXERCISE. What really es me off about this is that these people have been advised FOR YEARS to get healthy to avoid it and yet all this money is being ploughed into rezsearch and cures for them – THEM – I did nothing to deserve my disease, I was healthy and loved sports – noone told me I was in danger of getting a life threatning illness – and then they complain about it!!! The solution is simple…

mess the cat i was x forces and they reckon mine is diabeties meltissis which scientist reckon is linked in geanes of family having it like exmere or skin dosordered so in therory i got diabaties form my grandparents and all the exercise and lifestyle babble you said about diet and exercise.People are born like cancer with diabeties and no matter how much you excerise wont do anyfing so bear that in mind thank u

Low way to control type is balanced not protien is need for body growth and counting calories and less trans fat(which protien foods have) saturated fat and polyunsaturated in t1 or t2 u should aviod.also rapeseed oils AND STUUF LIKE eat smaill amounts and plenty of omega 3 for the eyes eat fish once a week. It is all abouyt control of carbs and balanced. Trust me im a type 1 on anologe novarapid and insultard no complecations so far. one lst noteeat lots of veg and fruit dialy. wholegrainbread

Hmm, I am willing to try this — I can believe that it will reduce the need for insulin, but Type 1 dibatics no longer produce insulin and a diet will not cure that. If they have been “cured” they are Type 2’s, whose bodies make insulin but do not use it properly or they do not produce enough. That is a serious difference. I don’t believe any of the cured people were actually Type 1 diabetics.
