can type 1 diabetes be cured?

doing an science assignment on diabetes.

Type 1 Diabidis results from an incompetant pancrease, specifically it’s Beta cells. It’s a disease you’re born with, trying to change it is like trying to take out some sour milk from dough AFTER you’ve baked the cake.

If you do a web search you will find many "herbal" or "natural" cures for Type 1, they are not evaluated by the FDA and are scams. Pretty dangerous scams, to be specific.

I think the only way to "cure" Type 1 diabetes is a pancreas transplant.
Maybe in the future they’re perfect some kind of gene therapy that will produce functional Beta cells to replace the faulty ones. Until then, there’s just Humalin and NPH.

    not usually – managed yes –

    my nephew was diagnosed D1 and went on a buff at the gym
    now he is a personal trainer and does not need his insulin

    Though there is currently no cure for diabetes, type I or II, it is manageable. By taking proper care of yourself you can lead a full, complete life.

    so far there is not a cure
    but there is research most notably training skin cells to produce insulin and implanting them in the liver were antibodies cant harm them
