Can type 2 diabetes be cured?13

I have a love one that found out she has type 2 diabetes. and i want to know if that can be cured (go away)

Thank in advance

There is currently no cure, they have been working on one for some time your best bet is to see a nutritionist, and follow the diet they recommend, get exercise, keep your weight down if you can. and it should stay in check, Make sure you monitor as often as the doctor says, knowing your glucose level is very important.

will there ever be a cure for type 1 diabetes?5

Of course there will. Some day there will be cures for many so far incurable diseases. Except possibly the common cold.
Unfortunately some day is not here yet.

natural cures for high blood pressure?12

I have a friend with diabetes type 1 that is presently being bothered by elevated blood pressure readings.
does anyone know of some natural remedies?

thanks for all the in-put. My friend is already very involved in using natural alternatives. He is also very physically active.
His recently ordered some Oriental suppliments that are supposed to help this situation
J.B.
thanks, but my friend has been a type 1 (IDDM ) for over 30 yrs. He is in excellent physical shape , except for this issue
leslie:
yes, he is using celery, but along with sodium-free V8 – which worked for him once before

My wife has tried many things and we will keep trying.

If fact she has added salt to her diet! What! Added salt. Yes.

There is no end to the number of natural cures for high blood pressure. Problem is they don’t all work for everybody but then neither do the drugs and the drugs have side effects.

Try http://curezone.com/

Also read testimonials here about the water cure which is where it tells you to add sea salt to your water and to drink sufficient amounts, avoid caffeine etc. etc. etc. http://www.watercure2.org/high_blood_pressure.htm & http://www.watercure2.org/bolen_hbp.htm and http://www.healingdaily.com/conditions/heart-disease-3.htm

They say to eat 4 stalks of celery a day, also chayote squash is suppose to be good. For some the Resperate device is suppose to work which is available from Amazon. I think it has a 60 day money back guarantee this time of year due to the holiday. My wife tried it and while it did help her relax, it didn’t do anything for her blood pressure. We got out money back from Amazon. Two other products that are suppose to work are the trace element indium and supplementing with a safe form of iodine. My wife is presently trying both of these. We don’t check her blood pressure regularly partly because some of these products are reported to take 90 days to work. However she went to the doctors about a month ago and her BP was lower than what it usually is. She presently takes 1 drop of indium in the morning and 50mg of Iodoral a day plus other things she has been trying for some time.

Supplementing with magnesium is also suggested. Garlic too.

In my wife’s case it is only her systolic pressure that is high. Her diastolic pressure is normal.

Celery’s potential for reducing high blood pressure has long been recognized by Chinese medicine practitioners, and Western science researchers may have recently identified one reason why. http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=14#healthbenefits

More suggestions here: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=disease&dbid=15 and here: http://ezinearticles.com/?Powerful-Natural-Remedies-for-Hypertension-Uncovered&id=847207

Please note I have posted only links to web pages which do not promote a commercial product except for Iodoral and the indium supplement [both of which are controversial] Both of these would be difficult to obtain merely from food.

The question is what is causing the high blood pressure? If it is weight then lose weight. If it is dehydration either of the circulatory system or the cells themselves then approach the problem from that standpoint. If it is hardening or the arteries another approach is needed such as vitamin K and/or pomegranate. If it is simply nerves and/or an inability to relax then that requires a different approach. This is why the same solution doesn’t work for everybody. If you can, find a good naturopathic physician or other natural care practitioner who can help you find a solution.

Is there a cure around the corner for type 2 diabetes?8

just curious

I take exception to the answer that says it’s not reversible. It absolutely is. I’m living proof… along with thousands of others who have adopted the natural foods and daily exercise lifestyle. Maybe not in every single case, but in most cases, it is.

I was taking Metformin for years and watching helplessly as my blood sugar numbers slowly worsened despite the medication, a low carb diet, and daily exercise. Once I found the right combination of nutrients, my blood sugar numbers plummeted and I was able to quit all medication. That was a year and a half ago. My numbers are still absolutely normal. One might even say that I’m cured. I won’t, though. I really don’t think it would be wise to become so complacent, that I would be tempted to go back to the old lifestyle. I have far more energy and feel great at 57. I’m not going to give that up.

Sure, there’s a genetic component, but it’s mainly a disease of poor diet and sedentary lifestyle. One need look no further than those who live in the rural areas of South America, Africa, and Asia where they eat a primarily raw fruits and vegetables diet and enjoy plenty of physical activity. The incidence of diabetes there is practically unheard of.

So, the answer to your question is, "yes and no". As long as people follow the path of too many refined carbs, not enough natural foods, and sedentary lifestyle, there will always be type two diabetes. Regardless of what modern medicine comes up with… they have no interest in a cure. They’re making billions off of us now. Why would they want to give that up?? Meanwhile, thousands of us have found our way off the drugs with high nutrient, low refined carb, natural foods based diets along with plenty of daily exercise. Trust me, the AMA, FDA, big pharma, Con Agra, Kraft and all the rest of those profiting off of our naivete, aren’t going to support a revolution of going back to basics any time soon.

When will they find the cure for Diabetes? (Type 1)?8

I have had diabetes for almost 5 years now and its getting old… When are they supposed to discover the cure? Are they at least close???

Never !! The drug companies make so much profit from diabetes that they would be silly to find a cure. Period. >

what is the best remedy for diabetes?11

what one can do to keep himself fit when he is a diabetic patient and what to do to control nerves problem as they get affected when u r a diabetic patient,?is there any natural remedy for that?

There is no "remedy" as you call it, which implies a cure, only treatment. Juvenile onset or type 1 "brittle" diabetes, which is generally diagnosed earlier in life and is caused by a failure of the pancreas to produce the needed insulin, is usually treated with insulin injections to keep blood sugars from going too high. Adult onset, or "type 2" diabetes is similar but the pancreas is still functioning, just not well enough to keep up with the body’s demand for insulin. The goal of any treatment plan is to keep blood sugars in the normal range, through strict control of calorie intake if possible, medication (insulin or pills) to help the sugars get transmitted from the blood to the cells where they’re needed, and excercise to help burn off the sugars and maintain your healthy metabolism. Any consistent physical activity, be it work or play, can be an important element of an effective treatment plan. Good control of blood sugars means a longer, healthier life. Poor control will have seriously negative effects on your longevity as well as your quality of life. Just get or stay active; it doesn’t much matter how, and check your blood sugars frequently! I’ve been diabetic for 27 years now (I’m 55) and have been fortunate to have good control.

is there over the counter meds for lowering blood sugar?8

There are no over the counter anythings that are nearly as effective as daily exercise and a healthy natural foods diet. Those, in combination, are so effective at lowering blood sugar, that I no longer take any medication for my diabetes. See my profile for more info on a complete program.
